Love to find the local hometown eateries like this one. Dropped in for a late lunch with Kate, a daughter and two grandkids. Tables are kid friendly with crayons and roll paper for art that kept the little ones busy until food came. Simple menu with some unique creations. Good healthy choices in the salads. The Greek was good. Easy downtown parking if it’s not busy and pleasant stroll around the town square to see the shops & other culinary options.
I love in the city and this is one of the best pizzas I've had in Georgia. The salads were delish, staff was attentive, and decor is cute. Highly recommend!
We love the fried pickles. They slice them thin and batter them in their pizza flour. Very crispy and of so good! Our pizza was just as we ordered. We do a build your own! They make you feel so welcome. We recommend this place!!
Karvelas pizza has become the spot for my boyfriend and I after we visit the nearby park. Great price and delicious food. We've stop in for beers and dinner twice now and have enjoyed ourselves. Service is great, we have been taken care of by Jack both times. He is very knowledgeable about the menu and gives great recommendations and excellent service! We have tried the green wave and the white garlic pie. Both were superb
We decided to drive through downtown Newnan on the way home. We were craving pizza and wings. We saw this place and a long line out the door and decided to try it. It did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great with awesome service. Food was hot and fast. Great hometown feel. I would definitely recommend!
Our family has been looking for a proper pizza joint since we moved to Alabama this past summer. I had come to accept that it wasn't to be and I would only get a decent pizza on my trips back east. And then we stopped in to a little spot in a Newnan, Georgia. Hello Karvela's! Hallie was our server today and oh my goodness she was top notch. Hallie had all the patience in the world explaining all the wing sauce flavors and what "Chicago sausage" is. (I like sliced Italian sausage, my wife likes crumble...this was somewhere in between) From getting our drink orders to bringing out the two full pies to go after finishing the pie and wings we got for lunch she always had a smile and right on point. The pizza is the truest to classic New York Style we have found and it absolutely doesn't disappoint. As for the person complaining that it was like Little Ceasars and would prefer Hungry Howie's clearly doesn't know squat about good pizza. This place isn't anywhere near the fast food "crap" pizzas out there. The wings were outstanding. Cooked to perfection and sauced just right. We will definitely be trying them again in several more flavors. And finally for this trip the fries. When they arrived I was afraid that only my oldest daughter and I would be eating them as they appeared to be peppered rather abundantly. NOPE! They were sprinkled with an incredible blend of seasoning that just made you want to eat them all. Thanks again Hallie and the entire Karvelas team for not only providing an amazing lunch and service, but restoring my faith that good pizza can be found in the south. It is worth the hour drive for us to visit often. See y'all again soon.
We had a delicious lunch at Karvelas.. The fries were hand cut and perfectly cooked. I’m usually not a fan of boneless wings but their boneless bites were fantastic and so crispy. The Rocky Top wing sauce was great. I do wish they had a Margarita pizza because their crust is so good I know it would be awesome. Mikayla was a great server, attentive but not overbearing. We will definitely be back!
